Judi Moreo (and friends) have created a self-help book: Life Choices: Putting the Pieces Together.
If life didn’t challenge us, how could we know how strong we are? How would we learn who we are capable of becoming? There is no such thing as life without struggle. No one comes out of a struggle the same as he or she was when it began. Everyone has to make choices between giving up or growing stronger. These authors hope that by sharing their stories, you will realize no matter how many pieces your life is in or what they look like, you can fit them together into a picture of wholeness and success.
The Life Choices books are a series in which real people share their stories of over-coming obstacles, putting lives back together and following their passions to create successful, significant lives.
While the stories shared differ in context, they share a common thread of courage, hope and fulfillment. No matter what obstacles you encounter, or how many pieces your life is in, there is a way to find a new path, make a new choice and create a better life.
My apologies to Dorothy at Pump Up Your Book for being a day late on this spotlight post. I was a day behind on myself (obviously! lol)

One of the things I like about reading these essays is the way the writers become very human - they really let the reader into their lives! When I get to the suggestion they have for the reader - I feel like trusting their advice because they've opened themselves up.
I agree with you, I think that is why I like memoirs so much as well. Because they're telling you all and being very open.
The stories are all very raw and very real - told in hopes to help others. My hope is that it is able to do just that for many, many people!
