I Almost Forgot About Yoy by Terry McMillan **Review**

27071481

In I Almost Forgot About You, Dr. Georgia Young's wonderful life--great friends, family, and successful career--aren't enough to keep her from feeling stuck and restless. When she decides to make some major changes in her life, quitting her job as an optometrist, and moving house, she finds herself on a wild journey that may or may not include a second chance at love. Like Waiting to Exhale and How Stella Got Her Groove Back, I Almost Forgot About You will show legions of readers what can happen when you face your fears, take a chance, and open yourself up to life, love, and the possibility of a new direction.

There were a couple things I was not a fan of in this story but, aside from that I gotta say this was a good read. The author is witty, fun, and definitely sassy. I liked that she felt comfortable and scared to take the plunge in changing up her life. Her feelings about it were quite relatable to those going through the same thing or contemplating the same situation. The author really is talented in writing and in making believable and relatable characters, no matter the person's background. Georgia has the personality of the girl-next-door but for today's world. Meaning, aside from cliche looks and personality, she is one that has her friends back, whether they are present or not, and she'll definitely be real with you and tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not.

I would recommend this book.
I received this copy for free in exchange for an honest review
