It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!
So this is my plan unless my book Everything I Never Wanted To Be by Dina Kucera. If that comes in tomorrow, then all books will be put on hold so I can read it and have my review up for that by tomorrow night. I am a blog tour host for her book on the 2nd of this month:) Otherwise I am kinda freakin out here.... *little drops of sweat on forehead*
This past week I started A Year With God by R. P Nettelhorst (a devotional) . Very good so far. I should have this done and review up this week. (for review)
I am continuing on Vexation by Elicia Clegg. (for review)
I put down Permanent Obscurity by Dolores Santana (as told by Richard Perez) because I got tired of the constant profanity but I picked it back up tonight. I want to finish it by the end of the week.
This week, I will finish up those three reads HOPEFULLY! Then I am going to get started on:
The Life Book by Carl Blunt
Soul to Soul Parenting by Annie Burnside, M Ed.
Also, Hubby wants to get me a kindle because I have slightly complained about the fact that I can use a laptop in the car on longer trips but I can't read in a car and so such a mean temptation to have a good book in my bag and not be able to read it! But, I am kind of worried that that won't work either. Has anyone had a problem reading in the car but can use a kindle or something of that nature in the car?

Oh, how awkward that you due to post for a blog tour, but you haven't got the book yet. Well, there's nothing much you can do about it, so if it doesn't work out, don't worry too much. It's not exactly a life and death situation! :-)
I CAN read in the car (in the front) and I don't have an e-reader so I have no idea how that would work out. What I hear, e-readers read much like books...
Happy reading!
What a sweet thing for hubby to do. Hope you enjoy the Kindle. Have a great week.
Everything I Never Wanted To Be sounds interesting! I will be looking forward to your review. Have a super week :)
Your books sound good...hope you enjoy them all.
I don't have a kindle, so that question will have to pass on to those who do! But I've heard that it's easier to read in bed with a kindle...
Have a great week. Here's my Monday:
Click on my name....
I am reading Trophy Bride
I don't have a Kindle and can't decide if I want one or not
I bought a Nook this summer, have used it just once but plan to travel later this week with only Nook books and a few magazines (for take off/landing). I hope to have a good experience... I do love a real book in my hands.
Sorry about the book tour... frustrating.
How odd that you had to get your own copy for a book tour! I've never heard of that. It's usually the author or tour site's responsibility to provide one for you. Hopefully it came! Good luck and have a fabulous reading week!
I love my kindle but I get car sick reading in the car. I can't read while the car is moving whether it's with a book, kindle or laptop :(
But I have to say audiobooks are wonderful for the car and housework. Have a great week and happy reading :)
I can't read in the car at all - even in the front seat. Nowadays, I can't even seem to dig around in a purse without getting car sick. It has something to do with the motion and not focusing on the road, because when I drive I don't have that problem.
you have some interesting books there - I'm wondering about the Soul to Soul Parenting (of course I'm done raising my kids already - damage is done! LOL)
leeswammes- yea at first I was freakin out about it but after I emailed the publisher back, I thought, well, not much I can do...oh well? But as it turns out, because I haven't received the book, I have been rescheduled for the 23rd of this month. So all is well:)
Jan Von Harz, yea i thought it was sweet of him, I prefer the actual book but not for the car:( Hopefully it works *fingers crossed*
Sheila- I'm looking forward to reading it, it's a memoir and everyone knows how much I enjoy those! Have a great week!
Laurel-Rain Snow-Well, if the kidle doesn't work for me in the car, I could def use it in bed than! Thanks for the tip!
Tribute- you gotta tell me how it is! I've heard a lot about it! Have an awesome week!
RAan-well, if you get one before I do, let me know what you think!
Mari-ooh, trips are always fun:) I love to travel! Yes it was frustrating but the good thing is I got rescheduled for the 23rd. Whoo *wiping sweat off brow!*
The1stDaughter-nono, they are supplying me with a book, they just hadn't gotten it to me yet so they rescheduled me for the 23rd. All is good now:) Have a great week!
Teddyree- I would love to use audio in the car, I grew up listen to Adventures in Oddessey in the car on trips, but Hubby wouldn't go for that. Unless I use earphones...? lol. Have a great week!
Mardel-lol your too funny. I have just begun, our first, Abigail is turned 14 months on the 3rd:( And I want to do the best job possible with her and the rest of ours in the future.
Eeep, I'm doing a book tour on the 17th and haven't gotten the book yet...now I'm worried! Hopefully yours goes okay :)
Crystal-I'll make sure to stop by on the 17th:) Good luck and thanks!
I never can read in any moving vehicle. I used to be able to read in stretches of 5 minutes but this doesn't seem to be working now. :-(
