The cover attracted me...because I am a bit of a cover snob...I'll admit it...
The synopsis pulled me in so I had to read it...
For some reason what I wasn't expecting was it to be a tear-jerker. Now, I am not one to cry or get choked up but I know a lot of big readers, just within my family and if they were to read this, they would get choked up. So be forewarned, this read can get a bit emotional but, not in a bad way. It added a layer of sensitivity and heart.
I loved the idea of a small group of best friends who make it a tradition to gather at a beloved place to have fun, play in the sun, flirt a little, and just all around a good time. But there is also a secret from Tony's and Amy's past and some turbulence and nervousness with the group of men and women at the Cove. A story mixed with smiles, uncertainty, curiosity, and a little bit of truth and sadness all mixed in a good story. This is the fifth in series and although I wasn't lost in the book, there is absolutely an established story (I am going back and reading the first four!) that would benefit the reader. No, I wouldn't say it is required but I will say it is highly recommended.
