It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading?  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!  As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme.

This past week I finished my book club read( The Parchment Society) The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner
My personal review along with my book clubs review will be up (should be up) by next week since we are meeting this Sat to discuss the book ( I hope to have pictures to show:)

I am still reading Daddy's Home by A. K. Alexander
and 365 Days to "I Do" by Jane Blaire Page, Ph. D

Last week I gave a short list of possible reads for this week...but then I went to the library and picked up Cutting for Stone and The School of Essential Ingredients. SO...this week I (well in the next couple days) I will finish Daddy's Home... and read the the two books I got from the library. (How I love my library <3 )
And speaking of my library...while I was there I took a glance at the audios ( that is a shock for those who know me; the only audio I have ever owned it my Bible on audio and Adventures in Audessy) even though I am not big on the idea because with the weather drying up I have been thinking about getting a bike (pedal) again (I love bike riding, I had one but it got stolen:(
and was thinking about instead of listening to music I would listen to a book so I wanted to get a head start on downloading one or two on my IPod. Didn't find one though but will keep looking.
Well, enough of my ramblings, that's it till next week:) Hope all have a great reading week!

I recently finished reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

I have a few ideas for my next read. Besides my book clubs read for March, which is The Postmistress by Sarah Blake.
I'm thinking either Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard or Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan or The Thorn and the Blossom
by Theodora Goss...Or maybe I'll choose two of them...?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading?  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!  As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme.

This was a pretty slow reading week for me.

I only got a couple more chapter read in Daddy's Home by A. K. Alexander (for review) and The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner (my book club read)

I do hope to finish them both this week as I got a few books last week and today:

Henry's Sisters by Kathy Lamb...I've been seeing this around the blogesphere and now I am super excited to read it:) Along with:
The Thorn and the Blossom: a two sided love story by Theodora Goss
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (book and movie!)
Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.
I also got the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's:)))
I am most definitely going to read Water for Elephants before watching it. I think after reading my two books (Daddy's Home and The Perfect Husband) I am going to read Fifth Ave 5 AM and Water for Elephants.
That's my week:) Hopefully I get this and more accomplished!

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading?  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too!  As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme

This past week I finished Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for my book group (The Parchment Society) that I am co-leader of :) (review to be up this week:) Good book, gotta say, wasn't expecting the turns the plot took;)

For this week, I am reading two books (thus far)

The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner

This is The Parchment Society's read for this month. It's the first book in the Quincy and Rainie Series.
What would you do if the man of your dreams hides the soul of a killer?

Jim Beckett was everything she'd ever dreamed of...But two years after Tess married the decorated cop and bore his child, she helped put him behind bars for savagely murdering ten women. Even locked up in a maximum security prison, he vowed he would come after her and make her pay. Now the cunning killer has escaped—and the most dangerous game of all begins....

After a lifetime of fear, Tess will do something she's never done before. She's going to learn to protect her daughter and fight back, with the help of a burned-out ex-marine. As the largest manhunt four states have ever seen mobilizes to catch Beckett, the clock winds down to the terrifying reunion between husband and wife. And Tess knows that this time, her only choices are to kill—or be killed.

Sounds really good, right? :)

I am also reading Daddy's Home by A. K. Alexander for review
A KILLER STALKS HIS PREY…
A calculating and deadly killer is in search for what he terms as his perfect family. Preying upon single mothers and their innocent children, the police have dubbed him “The Family Man.”

HE WATCHES THEM…HE TAKES THEM…
He plays out his role as the perfect father. When things don’t go so perfect in his insane fantasy world, the family man kills.

HOLLY JENNINGS IS ON THE CASE…
Crime Scene Investigator Holly Jennings of the San Diego Police Department is determined to track him down and see that justice is served. With Holly being a single mother herself, this man’s crimes are deeply personal to her, and turn more so when a friend and her daughter become the latest victims of “The Family Man.”

Along with tracking an evil killer, Holly is dealing with her own internal demons. She is raising her daughter Chloe alone after the death of her husband–a death she feels guilty for.
To complicate her life further, Holly is doing her best to avoid possibly falling in love again with charming veterinarian Brendan O’Neil. As Holly delves deeper into solving the murders, she finds herself being sucked into a game of cat and mouse by “The Family Man,” that may lead her down a dark path too horrible to bear. One that may cost her gravely-her family, her new found love, and even her life.

I  am soo looking forward to reading this!
They both look pretty easy books to get through so I may be able to add another book to the week but who knows?
